Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Interim Legal Professional to provide temporary legal support to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law, contract management, compliance, and general legal advisory services This position is intended to cover a period of increased demand, special projects, or during the search for a permanent legal team member.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal advice to our client companies senior management and various departments on a wide range of legal matters, including corporate law, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, employment law, and risk management.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts and agreements, ensuring that all legal and business risks are adequately addressed.
- Compliance: Ensure that the clients organization complies with all applicable laws and regulations. Advise on and implement compliance programs and policies.
- Dispute Resolution: Assist in managing and resolving legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and other forms of dispute resolution. Liaise with external legal counsel as required.
- Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research on relevant issues, staying up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that may impact the organization.
- Documentation: Prepare, review, and maintain legal documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
- Special Projects: Provide legal support on special projects, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, or any other ad-hoc legal matters as they arise.
- Training and Support: Assist in the development and delivery of legal training to the employees of client companies and other stakeholders to ensure understanding and compliance with legal requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: LLB or LLM or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a legal role, preferably with experience in both law firms and in-house corporate legal departments.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- Experience with working on cross border deals and as legal counsel in an international context.
